국악 연계 초등학교 진로탐색 프로그램 개발 방안
최근 학교 진로교육의 중요성에 대한 인식이 점차 강화되면서 초기의 진로교육인 초등학 교 단계에서의 경험을 매우 중요하게 다루고 있다. 이러한 초등학교 시기의 진로교육 방향은 학생들의 진로탐색과 인식을 위한 적절한 환경 조성과 그에 따른 다양한 교과와의 연계 및 통합에 의한 학습을 강조하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 현장의 활용을 위한 국악수업 연계 진로탐색 프로그램을 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 프로그램은 진 로발달이론과 초등학교 진로교육 목표, 성취기준 및 음악과 교육과정을 토대로 국악 활동을 통한 긍정적인 태도 형성 및 자기 존중감 형성을 위해 설계되었다. 또한, 프로그램의 중심내 용은 다양한 국악인 및 국악 관련 직업 탐색을 통해 직업에 대한 고정관념을 극복하고 더 나아가 자신의 소질과 적성에 맞는 진로 계획을 스스로 수립할 수 있는 기초역량 신장에 주 안점을 두었고, 이러한 프로그램의 방향과 목적을 위해 프로젝트 학습방법에 기반을 둔 활동 중심 및 경험 중심의 교육방법을 지향하였다. 본 연구에서 설계된 프로그램의 대상은 초등학교 5~6학년이며, 전체 프로그램의 차시는 진로 영역에 따라 각 2차시씩 총 8차시로 구성하였다. 프로그램에 반영된 진로 관련 영역은 ‘자아이해’, ‘일과 직업의 세계 이해’, ‘직업정보의 탐색’, ‘진로 계획과 준비’이며, 이를 적용하 여 개발한 국악 연계 초등학교 진로탐색 프로그램의 세부 활동명은 ‘나를 국악기 소리로 표 현한다면?’, ‘국악 관련 직업이 이렇게 많다니!’, ‘나도 국악 명인이 될 수 있을까?’, ‘나의 꿈 계획하기’이다. 이와 같이 설계된 국악 연계 진로탐색 프로그램은 초등학교 교육과정의 목표 와 성취기준을 바탕으로 구체화하여 개발하였기 때문에 초등학교 음악 교과수업에 효과적으 로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대하며, 더 나아가 창의적 체험활동 및 집단 상담시간 등에서도 다양한 교과 통합 진로교육 프로그램의 하나로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
The Development of an Elementary School Career Exploration Program Linked with Korean Music
As the awareness of the importance of school career education has been gradually reinforced recently, the experience at the elementary school stage, the initial career education, is treated with great importance. The direction of career education during the elementary schools emphasizes building an environment for students’ career exploration and recognition, and learning through connection and integrating with various subjects. To this end, the study aims to develop a career exploration program linked with Korean music classes for use in real elementary school classrooms. The program developed through this study was designed to form positive attitudes and self-esteem through Korean music activities based on career development theory, elementary school career education goals, achievement standards, and music curriculum. In addition, the main content of the program focused on enhancing basic competencies to overcome stereotypes about jobs and establish career plans on their own that fit one’s talent and aptitude by exploring various careers related to Korean music and musicians. Considering the direction and goals of the program, the author pursued activity-oriented and experience-oriented educational methods based on project learning. The program designed in this study targets fifth and sixth graders at elementary school, and it consists of a total of eight sessions, two for each area of career education. Career areas reflected in the program are ‘understanding myself,’ ‘understanding the world of labor and occupations,’ ‘exploring job information, and ‘planning and preparing for careers.’ The subtitles of detailed activities of the Korean music-linked elementary school career exploration program are ‘How can I express myself with the sound of Korean musical instruments?’, ‘There are so many jobs related to Korean music!’, ‘Can I become a Korean music master?’, and ‘planning my dream.’ This career exploration program linked with the subject of Korean music is embodied and developed on the basis of the goals and achievement standards of the elementary school curriculum; therefore, it is expected that it can be applied to elementary school music class effectively and also can be used as one of the curriculum integrated career education programs in creative experiential activities and group counseling sessions.
