This study is aimed at searching for directions for cultivating online Korean music skills, focused on Korean music skill classes operated by the music education department of `A’ education college. According to the study results, in online practical education, to provide high-quality educational contents proper for the levels of pre-service teachers in order to teach students in a way that they can do self-directed learning and to check their learning and encourage them in a way enabling immediate communication had very positive effects. The directions of Korean music skill education of pre-service music teachers in the post-corona era suggested by this study are as follows. First, in online practical skill education, it is necessary to help students cultivate practical skills in a self-directed way after learning musical pieces through applying ‘Gueum and Yulmyeongchang’ teaching and learning methods. Second, in order to cultivate Korean music skills in the online environment, teachers should suggest the feedback strategy to maintain the students’ continuity of self-directed learning. Third, it is necessary to produce online contents which have elements of Korean music education and can satisfy the learners’ cognitive ability and to prepare methods to use them for pre-service music teachers.
