예술 교과를 연계한 포구락 교수·학습 방안 연구
고려 때부터 연행된 역사 깊은 궁중정재 포구락은 게임이 가미된 유희적 요소가 강하여 학생들의 흥미와 관심을 갖게 할 뿐만 아니라 음악․미술․문화․체육적 요소를 담고 있어 음악적 창의․융합사고 역량과 문화적 공동체 역량을 기르는 데에 적합한 악곡이다. 가무악 의 통합적이고 총체적인 종합 예술적 성격의 포구락이 현행 음악교육에서는 단편적인 감상 제재곡으로 다루어지거나 단순한 음악 놀이에만 국한된 학습활동으로 치우쳐 있는 한계를 인식하고, 포구락에 내재된 문화적 맥락을 바탕으로 예술 교과를 연계한 포구락 교수․학습 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 특히 춤과 음악과의 단순한 관계의 이해를 넘어서 우리 음악과 춤의 문화적 소통이 가능한 수업 방안을 모색해 보았다. 포구락과 연계 가능한 3~6학년 미술, 체육, 음악 교과서의 학습 활동을 중심으로 예술 교 과 연계 내용을 분석하였고 교과별 성취기준의 관련성이 높은 3~4학년군을 중심으로 수업을 설계하여 제시하였다. 포구락에 사용되는 포구문의 문양에 담긴 의미를 알고 학생들이 새로 운 의미를 담아 여러 문양으로 포구문을 제작해보는 미술 활동, 우리 춤의 춤사위를 익히고 장단에 맞추어 창의적인 대형으로 작품을 구상․발표하는 체육 활동, 포구락의 반주음악에 맞추어 포구락놀이를 하고 나아가 새롭고 창의적인 포구락놀이를 고안하고 즐기는 음악 활 동 등 타 교과 학습내용을 통합적으로 재구성하여 교수․학습 방안을 제시하였다. 예술 교과를 연계한 포구락 수업을 실제로 적용해 본 결과, 한 교과에서 배운 단편적인 지식이 타 교과와 연계되어 유기적인 배움의 연속선상에서 더욱 새롭고 독창적인 포구락놀 이를 창출하였고 포구락에 내재되어 있는 문화적 맥락에 주목하여 그 시대와의 문화적 소통 을 꾀할 수 있었다.
A Study on the Teaching and Learning Method of Pogurak Linking the Arts Education
Pogurak, the traditional court dance performed since the Koryo Dynasty, has a strong characteristic of amusement added with the nature of a game that draws interest and attention of students. Since this piece includes the musical, artistic, cultural, and physical elements of education, it is adequate for developing musical creativity and convergent thinking competency and cultural community competency. Despite of the integrative and comprehensive characteristics of Pogurak with the singing-dancing-performing (gamuak) elements, it is just recognized as a fragmentary piece for appreciation or as a mere musical play in the current school education. For this reason, this paper aimed to develop the teaching and learning methods linking the arts subjects based on the cultural context inherent in Pogurak. Especially, the research sought to find the instructional method which enables the cultural communication between Korean music and dance, beyond understanding the mere relationship between them. After analyzing the contents of cross-curriculum related to Pogurak with a focus on learning activities of the Arts, Physical Education, and Music textbooks for 3rd to 6th graders, this paper proposed the teaching and learning methods for the group of 3rd and 4th graders highly related to the achievement standards of each subject. Thus, this study presented the learning and teaching method by reconstructing the instructional contents of other subjects in an integrative manner; that is, an art activity in which students understand the meaning of the patterns on Pogumoon used in Pogurak and make Pogumoon with various patterns containing new meanings, a physical education activity in which students learn movements of Korean traditional dance to design and present a new piece of work using creative formation to a given jangdan, and a music activity students play Pogurak with the accompanying music and create a new, creative version of Pogurak. Conclusively, applying the new approach to teaching and learning Pogurak linking other subjects, this study identified that students could link the fragmentary knowledge learned from one subject with other subjects, thus creating a newer and more creative Pogurak play on the continuum of the systemic learning. Additionally, this instruction focused on the cultural context inherent in Pogurak enables students to make cultural communication with the era in which the piece was composed.
