국어과와 연계한 ‘즐거운 생활’ 교육과정 구현 방안 － 전래동요를 중심으로 －
본고는 전래동요를 활용하여 ‘즐거운 생활’ 교육과정을 구현할 때 국어과와 연계할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 본고에서 논의한 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1~2학년 통합교과 주제별 교과서와 국어교과서의 전래동요 수록 양상을 분석한 결과 전래동요는 두 교과의 성취기준을 구현하기 위한 자료로 활용되었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 각 교과에서 전래동요를 활용하는 양상은 교과 특성에 기반하고 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 전래동요가 지니고 있는 음악적․놀이적 특성에 따라 노래 부르기, 놀이하기와 같이 공통적인 교수․학습 활동도 나타났다. 이를 통해 두 교과 교육과정의 연계 소재로서 전래동요의 활용 가능성을 파악해 볼 수 있었다. 둘째, 2015 개정 ‘즐거운 생활’ 교육과정에서는 교과 역량으로 ‘심미적 감성 역량’, ‘창의적 사고 역량’, ‘의사소통 역량’의 세 가지를 제시하였는데, 주제별 교과서의 전래동요 관련 교수․학습 활동 중에는 이 역량에 부합하는 내용들이 발견된다. 국어과에서는 이러한 내용을 효과적으로 지도하는 데 요구되는 다양한 국어 기능들을 다루고 있어, 국어과와 ‘즐거운 생활’과의 연계 수업의 필요성을 찾을 수 있었다. 이에 본고에서는 국어과와 ‘즐거운 생활’과 연계 수업의 필요성을 ‘표현 방법의 통합적 습득을 통한 심미적 감성 역량 함양’, ‘모방과 창조를 통한 창의적 사고 역량 함양’, ‘협력적 놀이 활동을 통한 의사소통 역량 함양’의 세 가지로 설정하였다. 셋째, 전래동요를 활용한 국어과와 ‘즐거운 생활’의 연계 수업 방안을 모색하기 위해 전래동요 교수․학습의 특성을 고려하여 ‘즐거운 생활’과의 표현 놀이 중심 교수․학습 모형의 단계별 활동을 재구조화 하였다. 그리고 각 단계별 활동과 연계할 수 있는 국어과 성취기준을 듣기․말하기, 쓰기, 문학 영역에 걸쳐 추출한 후, 이를 토대로 교육과정 연계 수업의 실제를 제시하였다. 2015 개정 교육과정에서 추구하는 ‘창의융합형 인재’ 양성을 위해서는 교실 수업에서부터 점차적인 변화가 이루어져야 한다. ‘즐거운 생활’과 수업의 방향을 점차적으로 개선시킬 수 있는 하나의 방안으로 본고의 연구 내용이 활용되기를 기대한다.
An Implementation Plan for a ‘Pleasant Life’ Curriculum Linked with Korean Language Arts － Focused on Traditional Children’s Songs －
This study aims to find a way to link with Korean language arts when implementing a ‘pleasant life’ curriculum with traditional children’s songs. The findings of the study are as follows. Firstly, through analyzing the patterns of songs in thematic, integrated textbooks for the first and second grades and Korean language arts textbooks, it is found that traditional children’s songs are used as a material for realizing the achievement standards of the two academic subjects. It is also found that the pattern of using traditional children’s songs in each subject based on each subject’s characteristics and there are common teaching-learning activities such as singing and playing in accordance with the musical and playful qualities of traditional children’s songs. This makes it possible to understand the usability of traditional children’s songs as a linking material of the two subject curricula. Secondly, as the 2015 revised ‘pleasant life’ curriculum proposed ‘aesthetic emotion competency,’ ‘creative thinking competency,’ and ‘communication competency’ as subject competencies, teaching-learning activities related to traditional children’s songs in the thematic, integrated textbooks are found to correspond to these competencies. Since the Korean language arts curriculum has covered various Korean language functions that are required to effectively teach these contents, the needs of linking ‘Korean language arts subject’ and ‘pleasant life’ subject are recognized. For this, the study sets the needs of linking Korean language arts subject and ‘pleasant life’ subject as ‘cultivation of aesthetic emotion competency through integrated acquisition of expressive methods’, ‘cultivation of creative thinking competency through imitation and creation’, and ‘cultivation of communication competency through collaborative play activities’. Thirdly, in order to find a plan for a linked class between Korean language arts and ‘pleasant life’ using traditional children’s songs, the study reconstructed step-by-step activities of an expression and play centered learning model in ‘pleasant life.’ Then, it abstracted the achievement standards of Korean language arts subject, from listening, speaking, writing, and literature areas, which could be linked with the step-by-step activities. Based on this, a linked class curriculum was presented. In order to cultivate ‘creative convergence talents’ pursued in the 2015 revised curriculum, gradual changes must be made from classroom instruction. It is expected that this paper can be used in gradually improving the direction of ‘pleasant life’ class.
